In the dream I saw a thousand benign bombers flying over in formation to remind small town America that they could become malignant and metastasize at any moment. I saw waves of grain stretching to the curvature of the earth where a thousand rockets could be commanded from their lairs and launched without warning. I saw shining seas on both coasts hiding dozens of submarines carrying hundreds of missiles with thousands of warheads all aimed at Mayberry R.F.D. I saw the President on TV explaining how Mayberry had tried America's patience and had broken our tolerance to bear the escalating price of strawberries. He told us he had no other choice than to wage total war on Mayberry, and he asked every American to pray for the incinerated souls of that belligerent little town.

belligerent- stubborn, willful. "I'm going to do it, even if I already know I'm wrong!"

Wow... I think it's a little scary that I have dreams along a similar lines... Usually not about strawberries though, hmmm...
