I think it's called pathetic fallacy - when the weather is in tune with your mood. So I'm glad if the rain is coming. I'd like it to drench me and wash me throughly (to use a biblical phrase). There are things that bug me, things that are dragging me down. The rain won't wash them away, but I want its refreshment. Yes, that's the word. Refreshment. If I can get some from the elements maybe then I can generate some more from inside myself.

Rain on me, o heavens!

Sorry - just needed a slurge - when I get back from a (hopefully rainy) walk I aim to write a proper story.

What an interesting piece of self-analysis, and although 'thank you for sharing' is a less British phrase. I am glad you did.

Thanks you all - it's good to be back here.  I meant to write "splurge"!  but "slurge" is also good!  What actually happened was a different kind of benediction. Life is a trickster..

I love the rain, the drops alays feel as if they cleanse away the muck of this life. Well done.

Kismet.

I just posted on my blog and submitted a six sentence with the same concept. We must be kindred spirits! I think its a proper piece. *raising my coffee cup-salute*

Well done for such a short piece - For some reason this give me an image of the flood scene at the end of "Oh Brother Where art Though" - just a nice bit of the elements to wash things aways.
