She closed the bathroom door behind her, turned on the hot spray, and began the task of undressing. Schoolhouse Rock may have taught us the "Three is a Magic Number," but according to my daughter, sixteen is the perfect number.  And on the 16th of this month, she will be sixteen.  She is excited....I write it with a bit of pride and a fair amount of fear and trembling.  You see, there are several significant things that happen when she is sixteen. brother vs buddy

Snowflake was the most beautiful dog.  She was white and soft with long hair and a precious face.  She could curl into my 8 year old lap perfectly, and her tongue was tickly and warm.  I loved her, as did the rest of my family.  Adopted at six weeks old, she followed me around the house, nuzzled my feet until I picked her up, and the only reason she did not sleep in my bed was because my mother absolutely put her foot down about that.I loved my little brother too.  From the time I first help…See More
