"Be a doll and grab me a Fat Tire, babe."The sticky tickle of sweat made Susie wrinkle her nose.Glancing over at the surprise cake she had bought with the words "Mega Million" written on top, she wondered what he was talking about.Fat Tire. How the hell did he get Fat Tire. That was only sold in bottles at Tootsies Bar. Tootsie was always at her bar. Last time she had seen Tootsie, she had been doing the horizontal two step with Susie's old man on the bar. He had promised not to go back there.…See More

One Last Favor (Canvas/Capstone)

I was helpless. My legs were tied with old phone cord to frigid steel rails. The 1970s robins egg blue plastic chair was shaped like a punch bowel ladle and cut into the sides of my arms. It had been years since I saw a chair so horribly suited for sitting in. The discomfort didn't matter much, I would be dead within the hour.On the outside of the old lean-to, the boys where talking softly amongst themselves. They had to hike back up the hill to find a signal, leaving me blessedly alone for the…See More

Hi D.B.

Thanks.  Good to see someone else's profile.  I couldn't narrow down favorite writer or title so I left it blank.

Hi! Thanks for the kind welcome. I forgot one of my fav writers and fictional stories when I was signing up. It is "Music for Chameleons" by Truman Capote! Stunningly visual story, and of course full of mystery and intrigue, and great story-telling thanks to Truman Capote. Glad to be here!

D.B - thanks for your comment on my Publicity post - I think I may have completely changed this since you read it though - having typed it once I then thought I'd lost it, did a second version which I posted then found the first had NOT disappeared into the ether, and was better so re-posted - apologies for the confusion.
