Is the whole world on fire?
Hey gang, just wanted some thoughts...is it just me or is everybody going down the rabbit hole? Everyone I know face to face or on the net is falling apart, raging, crying, total lunacy.
It feels like the world is on fire...are we burning in our own hells or is it just the burning season?
I'm crossing July off my calender.

I agree with you both, but it seems that THIS season all of my writer buddies are writing dark and depressing pieces, even you DB and you are a proclaimed card carrying optomist!

We all give you permission to do what you want. You have earned it. I've had a lot of ups and downs also. Can't speak for anyone else. Your writing is great, no matter when you get around to it. So what are you waiting for? Do your thing. :)

(just got back from emergency run out of state) Hmm. Interesting comment Jeanette. I read it that we have earned this insanity? Thanx for we all write great, it's just that lately we've all been abit...dark. (ok not you). So what am I waiting for?

I was at a poetry slam this past weekend and I was overwhelmed by all the hurting people. I don't know if it's because I spend my time with writers and we're sensitive and don't really fit in with the "norm" or if we just express it more than other people but there does seem to be a trend toward heartbreak. We just need to be there for each other as friends and readers and keep writing great pieces. It's the cheapest therapy there is.
I'll be glad when July is over as well.

just got back from an emergency in my friend's family down south. It's down where I have always been able to breathe, and it was the most toxic experience of my life, and I had to breathe harder. You nailed it.
